Biography Table

Who Is Zidane in EA Sports FC?

Long before he became a head coach, Zidane was the definition of elegance on the ball — a playmaker whose vision, passing, and ball control made him the greatest midfielder of a generation. That legacy is exactly why the Zidane FC card has become a fixture of Ultimate Team, year after year.

His path from La Castellane’s Place Tartane, through AS Cannes, Bordeaux, Juventus, and Real Madrid, gave him the kind of resume EA leans on for Icon status: a Ballon d’Or, three FIFA World Player of the Year awards, and two Champions League final goals that are still replayed today. Ratings in the game try to echo that real career.

From Real Madrid Galáctico to FUT Icon

At Real Madrid, Zidane became the record transfer fee’s poster boy and the centerpiece of the Galácticos, scoring the 2002 Champions League final volley against Bayer Leverkusen that is arguably the most replicated goal-celebration moment across every Zidane FC card since. That single strike anchors several of his in-game versions.

His technique, weak-foot use, and close control translate almost directly into his Ultimate Team attributes — five-star skill moves, strong dribbling, and elite passing stats that reward players who use him as a deep-lying playmaker rather than a pure goalscorer, much like the real Zidane operated for France and Real Madrid.

Zidane FC 24 Card: Stats, Ratings and Greatest of the Game (GOTG) Version

The Zidane FC 24 stats package set the template EA has followed since: a complete midfielder built for creativity rather than raw pace, with attributes clearly modeled on his prime years at Juventus and Real Madrid.

Zidane FC 24 Base Icon Stats Breakdown

The FC 24 Zidane card carried 90-plus shooting, 90-plus passing, and 90-plus dribbling, paired with 85 pace, 86 physical, and a more modest 78 defending — numbers that reflect a box-to-box creator rather than a defensive midfielder. He was eligible at both CAM and CM, giving squad-builders flexibility depending on formation.

Playstyles like Intercept+ and Incisive Pass+ leaned into his reading of the game and his signature line-splitting passes, while a five-star skill move rating let his in-game dribbling mirror the step-overs and close control that made him so difficult to dispossess on real pitches.

Zidane FC 24 GOTG Card: What Makes It Special

The Greats of the Game version pushed his overall closer to 96, rewarding the kind of consistent, high-IQ performances he delivered across four different clubs. For Ultimate Team squads built around possession and midfield control, the Zidane FC 24 GOTG card remains one of the most complete CAM options that generation of the game produced.

Zidane FC 25: The Free TOTY 2002 Icon and How to Get the 94-Rated Card

FC 25 turned Zidane into one of the most talked-about promotions of its year by giving nearly every player access to his card at no cost — then dangling a stronger version just out of reach for some.

How Every FC 25 Player Received a Free 90 OVR Zidane

Between January 17 and February 14, anyone who logged into EA Sports FC 25 received a 90-rated Zinedine Zidane TOTY 2002 Icon item, built around his Champions League final winner against Bayer Leverkusen. It was a rare no-strings-attached Icon, handed out simply for playing during the promotional window.

How to Get 94 Zidane FC 25 Through the Unleashed Evolution

The catch came with the upgrade path. Only FC 25 Club members who had already played EA Sports FC 24 by September 26, 2024, were eligible for the “Zidane Unleashed” Evolution, which had to be started before March 13 to push the card from 90 up to a 94-rated finished product. Players outside that window were stuck with the base version, which is why the question of how to get 94 Zidane FC 25 became such a common search during that stretch of the year.

Zinedine Zidane FC 26: Every Icon Version and Rating

FC 26 expanded the Zidane FC lineup considerably, stacking five distinct Icon cards across the year rather than a single static version.

Zidane FC 26 Base Icon Card

The standard Zinedine Zidane FC 26 Icon launched at 94 overall, playable at CAM, and set the baseline for every special version that followed throughout the game’s promotional calendar.

Winter Wildcards, Trophy Titans and Festival of Football GOTG Icons

From there, EA layered on a 95-rated Winter Wildcards Icon, a 96-rated Trophy Titans Icon, and a 97-rated Festival of Football: Greats of the Game Icon — each pushing his attributes closer to the ceiling while keeping the same playmaking identity that defined his career.

The 99-Rated FUTTIES Zidane Icon

The headline card of the cycle is the FUTTIES Icon, rated a full 99 overall at CAM — as close as Ultimate Team gets to recreating peak Zidane, and the version most players mean when they talk about chasing the best possible Zidane FC 26 build.

Luca Zidane FC 26: The Real-Life Son Behind the Goalkeeper Card

Not every Zidane in the game wears an Icon badge. Luca Zidane, Zinedine’s second son and a professional goalkeeper, has had his own FUT card in every game since FIFA 18. In Luca Zidane FC 26, he sits at 71 overall, playing for Granada CF, with his career-best version topping out at 87 OVR back in an FC 24 Ultimate Dynasties card. It’s a modest rating next to his father’s Icons, but a nice touch of realism for career-mode and FUT collectors who like keeping football families together on one card list.

Elyaz Zidane FC 26: Zinedine’s Youngest Son on the Pitch and in the Game

Elyaz Zidane, born December 26, 2005, is the last of Zinedine’s four footballing sons — a left-footed centre-back who came through Real Madrid’s La Fábrica academy between 2013 and 2024 before moving on to Real Betis and then joining Ligue 2 side Red Star in mid-2026. As a developing defender rather than an established regular, Elyaz Zidane FC 26 shows up mainly in career-mode and scouting databases rather than as a marquee Ultimate Team pull, but his presence in the game underlines just how deep the Zidane football lineage now runs.

Zidane FC Mobile: Chasing the 99-Rated Icon

The mobile side of the franchise runs its own separate card economy, and it has its own version of the chase for the top-rated Zidane. Zidane FC Mobile players have pulled a 99-rated Zidane Icon from premium pack openings, mirroring the console hype around his FUTTIES card even though the mobile game’s pack structures and evolution systems work differently. For collectors specifically hunting 99 Zidane FC Mobile, pulls have come primarily through high-tier “Crack Pack” openings rather than a guaranteed evolution path, so it tends to be a rarer, more luck-dependent grab than the console equivalent.

Zidane’s Playing Style Reflected in His FC Ratings

Every version of the Zidane FC card, across every title, is trying to bottle the same thing: a player teammates could rely on, whose first touch and close ball control made him look, as one description put it, like a real-life Pac-Man weaving through traffic. His naturally right-footed technique, paired with genuine comfort on his weaker foot, is exactly why his in-game weak-foot and skill-move ratings sit so high.

That same reading of space — buying time, manipulating the ball, picking the pass few others could see — is what separates a Zidane card from a purely athletic midfielder in Ultimate Team. He was never the fastest player on the pitch, and his FC ratings have never pretended otherwise; the pace numbers stay solid rather than elite, while passing, dribbling, and shooting carry the card, just as vision and technique carried the real player through Cannes, Bordeaux, Juventus, and Real Madrid.

It’s a rare case of a video game rating actually matching the football memory. Anyone who watched the 2002 Champions League final volley live doesn’t need convincing that a Zidane FC card should be built around technique over raw speed — EA has simply kept translating that same truth into new attribute spreads every year.

What does GOTG mean on the Zidane FC 24 card?

GOTG stands for Greats of the Game, a promotional card type that boosted the base Zidane FC 24 Icon closer to a 96 overall rating, rewarding his consistency across a Ballon d’Or-winning career.

How do I get the 94-rated Zidane in FC 25?

Players had to already own EA Sports FC 25 Club membership and have played FC 24 by September 26, 2024, then start the “Zidane Unleashed” Evolution before March 13 to upgrade the free 90 OVR TOTY 2002 Icon up to 94 overall.

What is Zidane’s rating in FC 26?

The base Zinedine Zidane FC 26 Icon sits at 94 overall, with special versions climbing through 95 (Winter Wildcards), 96 (Trophy Titans), 97 (Festival of Football GOTG), and a top-end 99-rated FUTTIES Icon.

Is Luca Zidane in EA FC 26 related to Zinedine Zidane?

Yes, Luca Zidane is Zinedine’s son and a professional goalkeeper. His FC 26 card rates him at 71 overall for Granada CF, well below his father’s Icon cards, since he’s rated as an active club player rather than a Hall of Fame Icon.

Who is Elyaz Zidane and does he appear in FC 26?

Elyaz is Zinedine’s youngest son, a centre-back who trained at Real Madrid before joining Real Betis and then Red Star. He appears in EA FC 26’s career-mode and scouting data as a young developing defender rather than as an Ultimate Team Icon.

Can you get a 99-rated Zidane in FC Mobile?

Yes, a 99 OVR Zidane Icon has appeared in EA Sports FC Mobile, typically obtained through high-tier pack openings rather than a set evolution path, making it a rarer pull than console versions of the card.

What position does Zidane play in EA Sports FC?

Across every version — FC 24, FC 25, and FC 26 — Zidane is rated as a CAM (with CM eligibility in earlier versions), reflecting his real-life role as an attacking midfielder and creative playmaker.
